From the imagination of a little girl…
the Giant’s Garden was born in Cento (FE), anenvironmental artwork inspired by a fairy tale she wrote. “Once upon a time there was a Giant who passed over a dry wasteland. That place was sad, and he decided to transform it. He built himself a beautiful and gigantic palace just right for him…”
The fantasy became reality, thanks to the creativity of Marco Pellizzola, a contemporary artist who created the work in collaboration with students from the Academies of Fine Arts of various nationalities.
The environment and colorful habitable sculptures made of mosaic are designed as games and gathering objects with recreational and educational purposes that invite respect for nature.
Within this landscape garden that offers a harmonious vision of nature and art dialogue with each other a 33-meter lizard stretching across the lawn, a 13-meter blackbird placed on a small hill, a leaf of 5 meters x 12 towering into the sky, as well as at shooting stars, flowers, water lilies, little fish, dozens of birds and much more.
It is a new form of urban garden that can take the visitor to a fantasy world in the heart of the city of Cento. There are many fun and educational activities organized in the Giant’s Garden.
